From a June 2015 recording. The late Antony Holland (March 28, 1920 - July 29, 2015) -- beloved actor, teacher, long-time Gabriolan, Order of Canada recipient -- recalls his time in Egypt during the Second World War.

For more about Antony as an actor, see:

Credits:
--> Excerpt read from the book: "Antony's Private Parts" by James Hawkins (2012)
--> Excerpt of Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 32 in C Minor performed by Daniel Veesey - Courtesy Freemusic.org
--> Excerpt "Lili Marlene" performed live by Marlene Dietrich (circa 1944 - a favourite of Antony's, and from both World Wars, with this version most loved by all sides.)

Antony Holland has lived a good life, not just as an actor but a good person as well. It's very evident on his portfolio that he was given good projects where he can show his greatness in acting. I feel bad because I haven't seen any work from him. But that's definitely a chance that I would love to have! He lived in an era where entertainment are limited and deprived from the public, that's why it was a huge risk for him as an actor to continue with his passion.
